Is Enough Being Done to Boost Representation in the Entertainment Industry (FREE IN PERSON)

Array Crew, an initiative created by Ava DuVernay to help boost representation in below-the-line roles in Canada and the U.S, is an important initiative to seek equality for Black Artists and Artists of the Global Majority in the workplace. Canada has other successful initiatives focusing on increasing the participation of diverse creatives in the industry, such as AccessReelWorld and HireBIPOC. What other initiatives are out there?

These initiatives are essential to changing the current landscape of the entertainment industry. To make real progress, the active participation of those in positions of power is necessary. Are we seeing enough effort and commitment from the industry when it comes to inclusion and opportunity? What is still missing—and what are the next steps?
