Nico Abote is an award-winning filmmaker with over 22 years of experience in television and film across Africa and North America. His career includes directing Canadian reality TV series (Dance Matchmaker), producing the documentary Daughters of Legends, and recently serving as Live Video/TV Director for the National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA-2026) and the Celestial Chorus (2025), both productions in Southern Africa.
