Storyline
Edouard and his daughter live with a cassette received from his wife in the United States, a long time ago. After years of absence, what can we expect from a distant love?
Online film available from May 24 to May 27
Synopsis
Edouard receives a cassette from his wife, who has been away in the United States for some time. After years of silence, he and his daughter live with this relic, which bears witness to her journey, her setbacks, but also her love… An unexpected reunion plunges Edouard into deep reflection and grief. How can we wait for someone when all we have left of them are images of the past? This intimate film, the second part of a trilogy, falls somewhere between documentary and fiction. It was inspired by the director’s father who traveled to the United States in 1981, on a makeshift boat.
