In the heart of Central Africa, Congolese doctor and future Nobel Peace Prize laureate Denis Mukwege risks his life to treat thousands of women who are victims of sexual violence. His encounter with Guy Cadière, a Belgian surgeon, brings new energy to his mission. Together, they operate hand in hand, driven by the strength and resilience of women.
Directed by
Marie-Hélène Roux is a French director and screenwriter, born in Gabon and raised across several African countries and France. Trained at the Conservatoire and the Stella Adler Academy of Acting in Los Angeles, she began her career in American independent cinema before returning to France to direct her first film.
