Wunmi Idowu is a CEO and Producer at Letura Productions Inc., using film as a catalyst for social change, centring on underrepresented stories. She began her filmmaking journey in 2018 with UNGANISHA, followed by a TELUS STORYHIVE debut and projects including Roots 2 Branches and She Leads. She is also the Executive Producer of the documentary Behind the Moves, funded as a TELUS Original. Specializing in impact production, Wunmi uses film to spark dialogue, action, and change. She led the 2025 Black Excellence Film Series in partnership with The Confluence and curated a 2026 Black History Month Perspective Series film screening for Contemporary Calgary.

Mary Yohannes Getaneh is a storyteller and former journalist from Calgary, Alberta, with a love for film and community building. A Mount Royal University graduate with a Bachelor of Communications in Journalism, she is deeply moved by people and the powerful ways our stories connect us.
